Study-Based Groups Fall 2018

Registration for Fall Small Groups is officially open! Read about the different study-based groups and register below. You can also register in the lobby on Sunday August 19th & 26th. Looking for a long-term group to join? We call those LIFE Groups and you can find those here.

Your Body Is a Temple

Tuesdays at 7 pm at Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church.  (10 weeks)

Facilitators - J and Kasey Chmelik 

Explore the connection of the lifestyle choices we make each day to scripture, the Christian faith and the SouthPark mission. This all-encompassing wellness program will cover areas of Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus and Friends. 

 

Moving with God

Tuesdays at 6:45 pm at Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church.  (ongoing)

Coordinators: Cheryl Besterman and Laura Shirey

Cost:  $10

Join this ongoing group of walkers and runners who combine study and movement to deepen their connection to God.  Beginning in September they will begin reading and discussing the book, In His Image, by Jen Wilkins as they prepare for a 5K run in early December.   

 

Financial Peace University

Wednesdays at 6:30 pm at Capital Towers Building, South Tower, 3rd floor.  (9 weeks)  

Facilitator:  Todd Paris

Financial Peace University is a nine lesson money-management class taught by Dave Ramsey – one of America’s most trusted financial gurus.  Through video presentations, Dave and his teaching team will walk you through the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, planning for the future and much more.  Learn how to be good stewards of the many gifts that God has given you. 

 

How People Change: How Christ Changes Us by His Grace

Thursdays at 7 pm (begins on 8/30/18) at the home of Cathy Youngblood (13 weeks)

Facilitator:  Cathy Youngblood

Cost:  $10

Experience true life change that comes from the Gospel.  How People Change by Timothy S. Lane and Paul David Tripp will challenge and equip you to live out the gospel in your everyday life.  You will grow in understanding the underlying motivations for your actions and learn specific, practical ways to change long-standing patterns of behavior – growing in love for God and for others.
