Join SouthPark Church and Refugee Support Services of the Carolinas for a fun Fall Festival with the families that RSS serves on Saturday, September 14th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Refugee Support Services Center. SouthPark partners with RSS which helps newly arrived refugees make Charlotte their home. These refugees arrive in Charlotte with legal resident status in our country. RSS’s mission is to facilitate programs and intercultural relationships that promote refugee self-sufficiency that will lead to citizenship and will enrich our community. Anticipate meeting and mingling with new friends from all over the world and a fun day of food and games. The Fall Festival will include a lunch (chicken nuggets, salad, fruit, chips and lemonade), as well as indoor and outdoor activities. There are opportunities to provide food, to mingle with adults or help children with pumpkin painting or outdoor activities such as frisbee. There will be lots of children to make things very lively! This event will be at the Refugee Support Services Center at 3601 Central Avenue. Last year’s event was a huge success. Join us in providing a fun time for these families.
