America's fight for independence from British rule during the Revolutionary War lasted eight years. The 13 colonies were all fighting for the same goal. However, more battles occurred within 100 miles of Charlotte than all the rest of the colonies combined. Please join us as we welcome Retired Army Colonel Tom Phlegar as he shares fascinating stories and explores the pivotal roles the Carolinas played in the American Revolution. Highlights will include pictures of areas where battles took place and how they look today. Invite a friend! We just may leave the program with a deeper appreciation for this area's struggle for our nation's independence and the sacrifices made so that we can enjoy the liberties that we have today.
